Wine list
As a brief introduction to our comprehensive wine list, we would like to present three wines that no Turkish wine cellar should ever be without: red Yakut, white Cankaya and rosé Lal.
Kavaklıdere Yakut
This rich, deep red, Bordeaux type wine, with its full, rounded flavour reminiscent of ripe cherries and delicate spices, is a key item on any Turkish wine list. Made from the Öküzgözü, Bogazkere, Carignan and Alicante varieties of grape, it provides an outstanding accompaniment to meat dishes, and also tuna fish or cheese.
Kavaklıdere Cankaya
This pale yellow wine, with its elegantly balanced hints of lemon and grapefruit, is made from the Narince, Emir and Sultaniye varieties of grape. It goes extremely well with fish and seafood, and also with cheese. Serving temperature: 43° to 46°F (6° to 8°C), at its best after four to five years.
Kavaklıdere Lal
This pomegranate-coloured red wine, with its vivaciously light and fruity hint of strawberry and mulberry, is made from the Calkarasi grape variety. It goes very well with meat dishes, and also with tuna and swordfish.
